Public Transport. How to go to Penang Times Square. (Lone Ranger on the mode)

So the reason for not updating for three consecutive days, undeniably is of because tiredness and laziness. As expected from the lazy-bum sara. ._.

I've been urging myself from the day after the #BBW event to update my blog but sara is not just lazy but hard-headed. Why the hell am I speaking about myself as the third person. creepy. Anyway, on the first day of the Big Bad Wolf, 24th september,  my lone ranger mode was on roll, my carefree personality went way beyond fears and worries, and my daring attitude never had been better. Y'know, this kind of thinking of chasing your desires and fulfill your satisfaction is kinda hard to shed off. Because the day I had on the 24th, (first raya haji tu), by far the day where I follow my heart the most, and concede to its willing. Big Bad Wolf was held in Penang Times Square, Jalan Dato' Keramat, (belakang komtar). Ermm, sepanjang study sini and ulang alik kat pulau tu, tak pernah lagi tembus belakang komtar tu, in a way where I drive sendiri la. Or maybe, i've been through there masa field trip kat batu feringghi, but tak perasan sebab awal journey dalam bas tu ralit baca buku cecelia ahern tu.hurm...

Yes peeps, I'm huge book worms. Books are my point of weakness, which is also the reason of my bravery la sangat mission on the 24th. Berbekal kan keazaman dan keyakinan serta bismillahirahmanirahim, ecehhh, I went out from college at 10:30am. Yeap, alone. Akhirnya ketenangan! LOL

True again, I did not balik kampung for raya haji. :p
Reason: Malas. End of discussion. Focus on #BBW. lol

Jadi nya, pocket sara bukan la loaded sangat pun time pergi tu, so nak save on transport, I dont think I need to rent a car, lagi mahal sewa kereta dari beli buku jadinya. So, with that being said, clearly I would choose on public transport. I like public transport, as long as it is not flooded with foreigners PATI, get that correct, and the service being qualified enough. but 'nways, that was what it was, among the few obstacles that I have to go through. Oh well. This somehow reminds me of the medium of transport that I used while I was in South Korea on last April, there, their public transport was so damn convenient, easy, reachable at almost everywhere, high tech, cheap and comfortable. One of the thing that I respect about South Korea the most.

So departing from the bus stop in front of uitmpp, I took bus number 702 straight to Penang Sentral, which took around 15 minutes to get to penang sentral (for anyone of the future new students that want to know the bus system here at uitmpp, just know that 702's route is closer *i think* to penang sentral as 709's route will go pass sunway, first before end up to penang sentral,  usually kalau nak berjimba kat sunway, yes ambik bas ni, btw, penang sentral is the hub of everything, bus, taxi, ferry, and KTM).

I remember the driver of the Rapid Penang bus, he was wearing a maroon baju melayu, hurm baru balik kenduri raya haji I think.

I've been to Penang Sentral several times before, but I've yet to go to the ferry terminal, which was located  behind all those land transportation. It wasn't hard to look for it, be  observant and you'll find the signboards and directions towards the jetty. The place is now being under constructions, like practically everywhere, so it kinda look, not, it really does look outdated. Sorry penang's locale, I felt like I was in the 80's when I was there.

Into the ferry. The sign above the ferry was 'Pulau Kapas'.

This was the picture that I got to take. I was unable to take the pictures of the path that lead to the place coz obviously this is my first time here and I should not busied myself with taking pictures. There were too many people (PATI) there. Quite dangerous. Y'know it was public holiday. Make sense. But I tell you, the path to the actual terminal, a.k.a the place where you bought the tickets and line up  and all, was like a HUGE elevated flyover for pedestrians. It was an effort to walk from one end to another. Phuhhh!

As I got to the ticket counter,(no, it's not really a counter), it was more like a line up where you put coins in the walk through side machine (how the hell do i explain this). Anyway the point here is, I DID NOT PREPARE FOR THAT. I thought they kinda use tickets system where you buy tickets and all that shit, but no they use COINS instead. The heck do I got coins at the moment? I literally have two notes of 50 bucks in my wallet that I intend to change to small bills by buying the ferry ticket but lol to the max. And please take note, that only old coins are accepted! There was a counter where you can exchange new coins to old coins though. And so, I literally dig for coins in my wallet, I found a total of 1.10MYR, the fee to get through was 1.20MYR, I was lacking 10 cents. Dang. So I went to the back of the line, digging and digging deeper, kalau boleh korek sampai ke tanah tu dah boleh pas dah. My eyes literally wander to the ground mana tahu ada orang tercicir seposen kan. Mana lah tahu...

But no, there wasnt. Last2, there was this two staffs there at the back of the line called for me and ask me whatsup?(not literally whatsup but yeah asking my all that 'what' and 'why are you being weird' stuffs), so I explain to him, this is my first time here, I didn't know they use coin system here, bla bla bla, and at the end, they tipped me 50 cents. TvT  I WAS TOUCHED. I was grateful! Boy if it havent been for them I might not be able to get through. //Cries a river//

So after I say my thanks a shitload(sorry it's my nature to swear a lot, oops) of times, I pursue my mission and ride the ferry! The ferry yet again, decided to put no end to the 80's feeling I've been feeling at the terminal. Old ferry, that doesn't matter, but leaking at several places, that's all. The walk-in passenger shared the place with the people who ride in by car. So yeah.

The view of Butterworth from the ferry. I don't know whose head is that but I'm lazy to photoshop.Lol

Loading off from the ferry.
The good thing was along the walk out, there are stalls lined up on both sides.

Off the ferry you have now arrived at Georgetown. Again, off the ferry, you're again is at not only the jetty, but also bus terminal, and taxi if I've not mistaken, I was too busy looking for my bus.

To Penang Time Square? Here are your buses.

After I found my bus, it was around 15 minutes or so to the times square.

So how was the Big Bad Wolf? Let's get on that on the next post. I promise its coming next, like really coming. This post is too long already.
